About Success Data

Success data is used by CHSAA to ensure competitive balance across classifications. Schools may be moved up or down based on their competitive success over a two-year cycle.

  • Place-Downs: Programs that may be eligible to move to a lower classification due to limited competitive success. See bylaw 1500.46.
  • Place-Ups: Programs that will be required to move to a higher classification due to dominant competitive success. See bylaws 1500.44 & 1500.45.
  • Enrollment Multiplier: Schools with multiplied enrollments due to competitive success and their multiplier exemption status. See bylaw 1500.22 (5).
